Oleg Konstantinovich Popov was born in 1930. He is a famous Soviet and Russian clown and circus artist. Popov has for years performed as a clown. His clown character follows the Russian folk tradition of a character called "Ivanushka," who fools other people.
Oleg Popov has appeared in four films. At the 8th International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo in 1981, he received the coveted Gold Clown award as a tribute to his career.
