From 1897 to 1917 he was model master at the famous Danish porcelain company Bing & Grondahl. For the next eight years he was artistic director of the Norden porcelain factory.

The Dahl-Jensen porcelain factory exported to the United States and Italy. Jens Peter Dahl-Jensen modeled animal figurines and exotic figures. He died in 1960 and his son Georg Dahl-Jensen took over the management of the company. The company was closed in 1985.
