The Poltava Porcelain Factory was established in 1964. Production started already in December 1964. Five years later their output was 3 million items a year. The Poltava factory mass-produced tableware but they made also collectibles as figurines and anniversary tableware services.
In 1970s production was automated what increased output to 13.5 million items in 1975. In 1989 they employed over a thousand workers. In the beginning of 1990s the economic condition drastically worsened following the breakup of the Soviet Union. The Ukrainian factory stopped production in 2002.
