Tarnopol Porcelain Factory started production in 1964 (then it was the Soviet Union, now Ukraine). The factory specialized in making coffee and tea sets. Production was swiftly rising. In 1970 they made more than 7 mln porcelain items and in 1985 the factory output reached 17 mln items. In 2006 the Tarnopol factory was suprisingly closed without even informing employees. The management asserted that the firm had no financial assets to continue production.
