Retsch & Co. Wunsiedel porcelain factory was founded by Christopher Seifert, Gustav Mueller, and Bernhardt Retsch in 1885 in Wunsiedel, Bavaria, Germany. The company initially was to start producing lime. Later they initiated production of fine-quality kaolin.
The porcelain factory started production in 1891. The company specialized in the production of perforated porcelain. Later they also made, coffee, table, tea and mocha sets, tableware and gifts.
In 2003, the company moved its headquarters to Arzberg, Germany but production is continued in Wunsiedel. The company operates under the name Retsch Household World AG.
